It is made of black polycarbonate anti-reflective, to be hoisted during the day when the boat is at anchor. If the boat is not under command, two should be hoisted vertically. Mandatory as onboard equipment from within 1 mile to unlimited distance from the coast according to the new DM No. 133 of 21/09/2024
