The GARMIN GPS 73 is a rugged and waterproof navigation device with a 12-channel GPS receiver and a 1 Hz antenna for increased accuracy. It features a 2.6-inch high-contrast monochrome screen and offers 100 reversible routes and nautical navigation capabilities.
It is possible to connect the GPS 73 to other onboard devices via the NMEA 0183 network, or it can be connected to a PC via a USB cable to save navigation data or plan routes with the free Garmin HomePort™ software.
An exclusive sailing feature allows setting a virtual start line between two points and synchronizing it with the race timer, providing distance and speed to cross the start line at the right moment.
The device has an internal database of major cities, lighthouses, lanterns, and lights. It can be powered by two AA batteries or via a 12/24 V power cable (optional). The dimensions are 6.6 x 15.2 x 3.0 cm and the weight is 218.3 g (batteries not included).
